Primary Grades

Children Kindergarten though 3rd grade can participate in a class that will teach musical concepts in a variety of ways that meet the Oklahoma Pass Objectives.  Students will experience musical elements such as beat, rhythm, tempo, meter, melody, harmony, staff, phrase, timber, from, dynamics, etc.   This class will also be a hands on experience using the following activities/instruments. (Activities and instruments are not limited to this list.)       

• Shakers               

• Rhythm Sticks

• Bells

• Triangle

• Scarves

• Ribbon Wands

• Parachute

• Octoband

• Cups

• Hand Drums

• Resonator Bells

Intermediate

Students in the 4th grade - 7th grade will get to be a part of a musical community by being a member of a choir. This choir will have the opportunity to perform at different establishments throughout the semester as well as end with a final performance for their families. Students will experience a variety of literature and genres while building their repertoire.
